Several March/April Classes Announced

Marcy Wheeler’s Acrylic Painting Class will resume on Thursday, March 9. The class has been on a short break while Marcy traveled to India. She is returning with stories and photographs, which might even be a starting point for some students’ work.

The class is Thursday afternoons from 2:00–5:00 pm in Studio 2. The class is ongoing, and enrollment is open at any time, as long as there is space available.

Norm Weiner’s Figure Drawing class starts March 10 and runs through April 21. Classes are Fridays from 1 to 4 p.m. 

Beginners and advanced artists are welcome. Participants proceed at their own pace and ability. Students will enjoy learning how to draw the human body in its various shapes and positions through the process of observation and training. Live professional nude female and male models are used in the class.

Anna George’s Oils/Acrylics Class – Anna invites new, intermediate, and advanced painters to join her on Tuesday afternoons from 1 to 4 p.m. starting March 21. 

Here is a chance to develop personal style using your medium of choice —oils or acrylics, to welcome new ideas through exploration, and perhaps to pick up painting from a new perspective. Bring life to what matters to you, to what brings you joy.
 
Find out about color mixing and color placement. Achieve engaging compositions using easily applied principles of composition. Try out painting knives and different brushes. Learn about materials. Go abstract or representational.
