New Creekside Art Exhibit

New Creekside Art Exhibit

A refreshing new collection of paintings was installed in the Creekside Gallery and the Event Center on August 1, 2016.  Nineteen paintings were selected by juror Maralyn Miller, an accomplished oil and pastel artist who hails from Los Gatos and is also represented in a recognized Walnut Creek gallery.   Maralyn’s work can be viewed at
An elegant collage entitled “Patterns II” by Geraldine Lum now hangs over the fireplace in the Echo Room at the Event Center.  The engaging cross-section of styles displayed in the Creekside Gallery include: “See, hear, speak no evil” a pen and ink drawing by ever-popular Norman Weiner, “Balcony gossip” a watercolor by Stephen Osborn and “Contemplation” a pastel by Izabela Josephson both of whom are new to the Art Association, and a watercolor entitled “Where the light comes from” by RAA instructor John Hopper.  The remainder is a wonderful group of paintings by recognized long time members of the RAA.
Most paintings are for sale and the phone numbers of the artists are listed on the Gallery Diagram to the right of the Gallery display.  If viewers wish to purchase, they should contact the artist directly.  This exhibit will remain until Dec. 5, 2016.  Member artists are urged to prepare work ahead of that date for submissions.
Currently there is a group of terrific instructors who teach drawing, watercolor, oil and acrylic painting, life drawing and painting, Asian calligraphy & brush painting, and printmaking.  Class listings are noted on the studio bulletin board, as well as on the club website
Committee persons Nancy Meaden (925-658-2542) and Shirla Klenk (925-945-9792) may be contacted if there are questions regarding this exhibit.

Where can I view paintings by Izabella Josephson? I googled her but there are no photos of her work.
I have a conflict on the night of the Soiree and need to make a decision ASAP.
    Thank you
