10 Jun Marcy Wheeler teaches acrylics for beginning painters
If you are new to painting or have never tried painting with acrylics, Bay Area artist and Rossmoor resident, Marcy Wheeler, is offering a new 4-week beginning acrylic class. The class meets Thursday afternoons from 2:00–5:00 pm in Studio 2, starting on June 22 and running through July 13.
The cost for four classes is $72.00, and all materials are provided. “That means you can try acrylics without having to first invest in paints, canvas and brushes!” says Wheeler, who teaches RAA’s ongoing Thursday acrylic painting class and leads the monthly Unique Critique sessions.
Wheeler will work with beginning students as a group and on an individual basis over the four weeks. New students will learn about color and mixing paints, how to pick what to paint, and how to stay with a painting until it gets out of the “ugly stage.”
“It’s never too late to start at the beginning!” says Wheeler.
