23 Aug John Hopper’s evening “Watercolor for the FUN of It” class returns in September
Rossmoor artist John Hopper resumes his series of Wednesday evening classes, “watercolor for the fun of it,” this fall. The next series runs from September 13 through October 25 from 6 to 8 pm in Studio One at Gateway.
The series is open to both aspiring and experienced watercolorists. The class takes a break on Wednesday, September 20, to allow members to attend the RAA Soirée that evening.
Hopper takes participants on a new, exciting watercolor exercise each week that gives everyone the opportunity to add to their painting skills and prowess. The goal is to take the mystery out of painting with watercolors and just have FUN. Participants work with wash, wet-on-wet and dry brush techniques, and practice doing landscapes, seascapes, still life and abstracts.
