December 7 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Drawing the Natural World- Flowers, insects, birds, rocks, mushrooms, etc.
This six week course will introduce you to the fundamentals of drawing natural world elements using pencil, charcoal, colored pencils, or pastels (when used outside). We will be outdoors half the time and in the studio the other half by arrangement.
Emphasis is on drawing the things you see in front of you and not necessarily working from photos. Small things can be brought into the studio or your home as models. i.e. rocks or flowers. Photos an be used for birds and insects as part of the drawing as a special element or If you have an insect collection or a butterfly collection you can bring those to class for drawing.
Please come with your sketchbook and pencils (dark or colored) and plan to have fun.
