Simply titled “Hockney,” this documentary (i hour and 52 minutes) will be shown on Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 1:00 p.m., at Peacock Hall. In the film, Hockney provides insights into the ways we “see.”

Hockney has experimented with many media, even including a fax machine, paper pulp, computer applications, and iPad drawing programs. His subject matter ranges from still life to landscapes, portraits, his dogs, and stage designs for operas. His works are exhibited in countless museums.

David Hockney had early success, but he struggled with relationships, and the tragedy of AIDS. The film weaves frank interviews with never before seen footage from his personal archive.
