“What if? Why not?” — Mixing Media and Methods with Anna George
Throughout this eight-week series, combining common and uncommon materials delivers new context in this adventuresome class led by Anna George. Any proclivity for repurposing serves us well as we integrate principles of composition and address each surface with both unconventional and conventional ingredients. Build a piece with mementos or simply play. The finest ingredient is the imagination.
“What if? Why not?” convenes on Wednesday afternoons from 1 – 3:30 pm beginning January 5th, and runs through February 23rd.
Guided projects at the outset involve working on boards and selecting from an assortment of provided materials. A $25 material fee will be paid to the instructor at the first class.
Class members are invited to collect interesting found materials which resonate. Thread, music notations, string, broom straw, fabric, bottle caps, packaging foils, wood shavings, mesh, tissue papers, fine papers, onion skins, plastic bits, twigs, confetti, etc. Tools for assembling are provided.
