01 Jan Elizabeth Addison offers printmaking class
Elizabeth Addison is again offering her popular printmaking class this winter. The series includes six Wednesday-afternoon sessions from 1 to 4 p.m. January 23 through March 13. Addison welcomes students of all levels.
Tuition for the series is $165, plus a $35 materials fee. The materials fee covers all printmaking supplies except paper. Fine printmaking papers are available in class from Addison at discounted prices ($1–$4 for an oversized sheet), or students may bring their own paper.
Addison’s classes allow beginners and experienced printmakers to explore the medium, build on previous work and enjoy using the Whelan etching press in Art Studio One.
Artists will print their images using a variety of pigment-rich inks. All participants will learn the basics of monotype (painterly method) and relief printmaking (woodblock, linocut, gelli plate, Styrofoam intaglio).
