Join a warmly convivial setting convened by artist, Anna George, on Tuesdays from 1pm to 4pm from August 31st through October 26th.
George offers fundamental painting principles to painters of all levels and incorporates how to effectively skirt common pitfalls.
Encounter ways to achieve good sequencing in the painting process. George will simplify new and age-old painting ideas and offer some short exercises to illustrate them. She shapes sessions on form, light, value, shadow, color mixing, and dalliance using class members’ input.
Join this special group to connect the dots of composition, color partnering, and technique. Paint what you love from sources you choose and benefit from sharing processes with others.
Work and rework in any stage, abstract or representational. Bring blank canvases, boards, and papers on which to work oils or acrylics. Bring also well-progressed pieces and generate new ideas.
“Painting together we enlarge our world at home and perhaps let autumn’s brilliance inspire something from the heart,” says George, who has been a working artist for decades and offered classes at Rossmoor for over ten years.
Beginners will receive a materials list and a phone call. Tuition is $165. Please or sign up at RossmoorArt.com or send tuition to George at 2956 Tice Creek Drive #3.
Be sure to include your email and phone. Reach the instructor at 925 783 9000.
