02 Nov Celia Chow offers Beginning Brush Painting
Join the beginning Chinese brush painting class with Celia (Shung-Hwa) Chow on Nov 1st. This class will be held on Thursday afternoons from 2:00 to 4:00pm in Art Studio One. The 6-week series runs through December 13th. Tuition is $90 for six classes with a limit of 12 students.
Always wished you could do wonderful Chinese brush painting? Now’s your chance to learn from a marvelous instructor.This class will focus on the basics and be FUN for all participants. It will be offered in addition to Celia Chow’s regularly scheduled morning class, but it is designed to accommodate those who wish to try the amazing brush painting art.
The class also offers students who would like the opportunity to learn a little of the Chinese language and calligraphy. This is not mandatory but you may find it fun to learn Mandarin as related to the artwork done in class. It only takes a little practice and an understanding of the relationship of the tools in this medium. Materials will be discussed in the first class. Bring anything you already have that may be used.
