29 Dec Carol Tarzier’s winter still-life painting class focuses on color and flower painting
Bay-Area artist Carol Tarzier continues her still-life painting class in January. Class meets on Fridays from 1 – 5 pm in Studio One. The winter session starts January 19 and continues through March 23.
Tuition for the ten 4-hour sessions is $200. The extra hour each week allows time for setting-up, for Tarzier to demonstrate mixing and painting techniques, and for students to complete or get a good start on their still-life painting.
The winter session will be focused on color. The first two classes will be a review of still life concepts. We will then move from general concepts to fruit and flowers, with emphasis on warm and cool colors. The final four classes will be devoted to flower painting.
Oil and acrylic painters of all levels are welcome. Acrylic instruction is individual. Class demonstrations are in oil. Oil painters please use odorless thinner only.
