18 Aug Carol Tarzier offers fall class on “Painting the Landscape from Photographs”
Bay Area artist Carol Tarzier’s class this fall will focus on “Painting the Landscape from Photographs.” The fall series starts September 7 and runs through November 16.. (There will be no class September 21.) Class meets on Fridays from 1 – 5 pm in Studio One. Tuition for the ten 4-hour sessions is $200.
This series is about using photographs to create fresh and lively landscapes with the energy and color of plein air work. The series covers color mixing and creating beautiful color tones with two types of limited palette: 3 primary colors and also a six-color palette with warm and cool primaries. Tarzier will give a demonstration every other week.
